KISS 2021
The Kiel International Seapower Symposium 2021 addressed questions pertaining to NATO’s Allied Maritime Strategy. The key tenets of the current document, published in 2011, are in need a revisiting in light of recent geopolitical developments, the reemergence of great power competition, and an ever-changing world.
Dreizack 2021
For the fifth year in a row, the network conference "Dreizack" for young scientists in the research field of Maritime Strategy and Security took place in early November 2021. With its proximity to the Naval Memorial and the submarine U 995, the Hotel Admiral Scheer repeatedly proved to be the perfect venue.
Webinar: The Americas Series
Kiel, February-March 2021: The ISPK’s CMSS hosted five online events on transatlantic maritime security and strategy challenges. Ten experts from North, Central, and South America provided interesting thoughts and perspectives on pressing security issues. The Series addressed recent naval strategy developments from an American point of view and its implications for NATO, the EU and Europe as a whole.
